Le due vie (entrambe fedeli, in modi diversi)

Same image, two ways to render it as sound. The thesis documents explain when to use each.

A · Sources (Star-field)

Rileva i peaks (stars/galaxies): each source = one spatialized drop. Sparse, "rain of stars".

B · Campo (Raster)

Scansiona l'intero campo as continuous texture: every region contributes. Dense, ideal for nebulae.

Quando usare quale

Sources when the image is a deep sky with distinct points (star counts/positions): you hear the individual objects, scattered. Campo when the overall texture matters (nebulae, gradients): you hear a continuous fabric. Both are parametric and reproducible (export .txt); dichiari quale usi.

2 · Path & resolution

Detects local maxima (peaks). Density limits how many sources you keep (the brightest).

Step 3 = space: the X position becomes stereo (left↔right); distance (darker = farther) increases reverb. Listen on headphones.
